I was reading my blog over and I realized that I never gave any news from my camp. So... Camp was great, camp was awesome, camp was crazy and exhausting.
I think blood is disgusting. Blood makes me sick. Well... guess who got to be the nurse? yup! that's right!! little me. Have you ever had an on crutches/disgusted by blood nurse at camp? That was me. It's a pretty cool job, actually. God also blessed me with injuries I knew how to deal with (sprained ankles, etc) and only one bloodied patient (one of the leaders, actually). Plus, it was a good ego boost since I was asked if I was 17 (+++++ :D), 40 (---- :( ), if I was a doctor (nope), a nurse (nope) and, very anxiously "but... you've already been camp nurse, RIGHT?" nope.
Other than that, Maryline and I lived on an average of 4/5 hrs of sleep per night for the 1st week. Not a good idea, but we had too much to do. The others had a bit more sleep than us (lucky them).
My girls were just great. They were the best! I was a bit anxious before camp because the last few camps I'd always had the "terribles" in my group. The ones where you go "I'll never finish the camp alive". This time, they were just sweethearts. In fact, our 18 girls were a blessing. Guys were a liiiiitle harder to control.
One of my tasks was to be coach for a sports team (yeah, right). I must sadly tell you that my team lost. a lot. In fact, we only won 1 match in 4 days of competing 4-5 times each day in 4 different sports. That's how terrible we were. But I'm really proud of my team. They made sure everyone on the team played and got the ball and they always tried their best. So hooray for La Bessonnaz (my team, the best team :)
